Written Assessment

This course is 2 1/2 days of instruction and 1/2 days of testing. This course equips you with the detailed knowledge to prepare you for the NCCER’s Written Assessment and Practical Examination.

 

The NCCER Advanced Rigging course is a 3-day program priced at $1,500, which includes a written assessment and practical examination. The course consists of 2 1/2 days of knowledge and practical instruction with 1/2 day of testing. It aims to provide the in-depth knowledge required to excel in the NCCER’s Written Assessment and Practical Examination. In addition to mastering all basic and intermediate rigger tasks, the advanced rigger must demonstrate an advanced level of proficiency in all rigger tasks. The advanced rigger is responsible for performing specific rigging operations related to blind hoists, traveling with a load, working in close quarters, and lifting procedures for personnel. They must also apply specific rigging criteria from the manufacturer or equipment representative to the safe and appropriate methods of erection, dismantling, jumping, and reconfiguring of cranes. Practical examinations will be administered the day after the last day of class.
